LMS Specialist

At our organization, we're seeking a skilled Learning Management System (LMS) specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing high-quality learning experiences across our platforms.

  • You will build and maintain courses on the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring alignment with instructional design specifications.
  • Develop, format, and organize content pages, HTML pages, quizzes, assignments, and documents as per design document guidelines and accessibility standards.
  • Create and manage course assets, ensuring they meet quality standards.
  • Build/edit content on Content Management System (CMS).
  • Conduct QA and QC reviews to ensure learning materials meet quality and accessibility standards.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve LMS-related issues during course setup and delivery, collaborating with relevant teams for solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure project requirements and specifications are met.
  • Deliver projects on time and ensure they meet the high-quality benchmarks of the organization.
  • Participate in internal continuous improvement efforts by offering ideas and solutions for process improvement.
  • Stay updated on emerging LMS features and online learning trends to recommend improvements for course delivery and user experience.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in technology or related field.
  • 1-4 years of experience working with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with Canvas LMS and/or Content Management Systems is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices for course design.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite and authoring tools like Articulate 360 and H5P.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
