Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our Institutional Advancement Team as an Associate Director. This is an exceptional opportunity for a purpose-driven individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and has expertise in fund-raising.

About the Position

This role involves building and managing relationships with key stakeholders, developing strategic plans to support organizational goals, and promoting the university's mission through various channels.

  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Built and Manage Portfolio: Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors to support Plaksha's objectives.
  • Develop Strategic Plans: Collaborate with leadership, founders, and donors to devise long- and short-term fundraising strategies aligned with the university's vision.
  • Cultivate Donor Relationships: Proactively build and nurture partnerships and relationships with prospective donors through customized communications and donor stewardship efforts.
  • Promote University's Mission: Represent the institution at events and increase awareness of its vision to inspire prospective donors to participate in collective philanthropy efforts.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate/Postgraduate degree in any field.
  • Experience: 10+ years of work experience in fundraising or transferable skills such as private banking.
  • Skills:
    • Understanding of philanthropy networks, grant and proposal process.
    • Proven track record of meeting fundraising goals and securing major gifts.
    • Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
    • Commitment to excellence, accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Flexibility in a start-up environment.
