Data Engineer Expert - SQL

About the Role

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our team. This role involves working with large, complex databases in a production environment.

  • Analyze and resolve data quality issues across multiple related tables.
  • Design and implement complex SQL queries using joins, CTEs, window functions, temp tables, and nested queries.
  • Collaborate with product and QA teams to validate fixes, create data validation test cases, and ensure reproducibility.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Troubleshoot and fix critical data issues.
  2. Implement schema-level fixes and rollback logic.
  3. Work with Jira for ticket management, tagging, and maintaining proper workflow.
Must-Have Skills
  • Advanced SQL Development – strong hands-on experience with complex joins, aggregations, and performance optimization.
  • Data Remediation Expertise – proven ability to debug and fix production data issues.
  • Database Migration & Rollback Experience – familiarity with schema migrations and rollback tools.
  • Experience with clinical trial systems, CTMS, EDC, or multi-tenant platforms (preferred).
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
