Business Development Role Overview

  • To drive revenue and cost optimization, strive to meet key performance standards.
  • Develop winning business solutions for clients' challenges through the creation of commercial frameworks and effective offer presentations with support from senior colleagues.
  • Contribute to business growth initiatives with tasks related to market outreach and deck development, including industry reports, thought leadership articles, case studies, etc.
  • Lead a team of research professionals in techno-commercial services, ensuring continuous training, recruitment, and nurturing as needed.
  • Handle all client communication, including study-related calls, feedback sessions, and deliverable presentations.
  • Facilitate technical, business, and analytical discussions through excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Maintain a strong analytical mindset and technical background to provide actionable recommendations for clients.

Key Qualifications and Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor's or master's degree in chemical/materials science or related fields, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum six years of experience in business research or consulting engagements.
  • Must possess extensive primary research experience and be able to train team members to enhance their primary research skills.
  • End-to-end management of business research or consulting projects with knowledge of recent industry trends and challenges in chemicals and natural resources.
  • Proven experience managing teams of professionals.
  • Strong expertise in market analysis, business strategy, technology insights, competitor intelligence, management frameworks, MS Office, forecasting, and business writing.
  • Able to work effectively at all levels of management.
  • Self-organized, planned, matured, and detail-oriented individual.
