About the Opportunity
We are seeking a dynamic professional to lead our Indirect Tax practice. The ideal candidate blends deep technical knowledge with practical experience in GST and related areas of indirect taxation.
Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end GST and indirect tax advisory assignments, including structuring, impact analysis, and compliance reviews.
- Provide technical analysis on complex IDT issues, draft client memos, and prepare regulatory submissions.
- Drive litigation strategy, including preparing replies, appeals, and representing clients before tax authorities.
- Supervise and mentor teams on technical execution, ensuring timely and high-quality deliverables.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships; serve as a trusted advisor and escalation point.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Chartered Accountant with 8–12 years of relevant experience in indirect taxation.
- Strong command over GST laws, including place of supply, ITC rules, and procedural aspects. Exposure to Customs or Foreign Trade Policy (FTP) is a plus.
- Ability to translate legal nuances into practical, business-friendly solutions.
- Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience in managing multiple stakeholders across clients, teams, and regulators.
