Job Title : High-Performance Backend Engineer Spring Boot & Microservices

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Backend Engineer with strong proficiency in Spring Boot and Microservices architecture to join our dynamic technology team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is passionate about building high-performance applications, and enjoys solving complex problems using modern backend technologies.

As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying enterprise-grade backend systems and APIs. You will lead the development of scalable microservices and contribute to the full software development lifecycle. This position requires a deep understanding of Java frameworks, service-oriented architecture, cloud-native development, and a strong grasp of software engineering principles.

Key Responsibilities :

• Design and implement robust, scalable, and high-performance microservices using Java and Spring Boot.
• Develop RESTful APIs and integrate with third-party systems and services.
• Participate in architecture and design discussions, contributing to system-level decisions.
• Collaborate closely with front-end developers, DevOps engineers, and QA teams to deliver quality software on time.
• Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior developers.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and security through best practices.
• Write unit, integration, and functional tests to ensure code quality.
• Participate in Agile development practices including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to DevOps practices by collaborating on CI/CD pipeline setup and automation.
• Document system design, architecture, and development processes.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional experience in Java development with a strong understanding of core Java, collections, concurrency, and JVM internals.
• Deep experience with Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, and Spring Data JPA.
• Expertise in designing and developing RESTful APIs and microservice-based systems.
• Experience with message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or ActiveMQ.
• Strong knowledge of Relational Databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes is a plus.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency in writing unit and integration tests using tools like JUnit, Mockito, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice to Have :

• Familiarity with Domain Driven Design (DDD), API Gateway, Service Discovery (Eureka), and Circuit Breaker patterns.
• Exposure to frontend technologies like Angular or React for better cross-functional collaboration.
• Prior experience in leading development teams or projects.
