  • Design and Conduct Research Studies:
  • Conduct evaluative research studies (e.g., card sort, tree testing, usability) and support generative research efforts to deepen user understanding and empathy
  • Synthesize and Communicate Research Findings:
  • Synthesize and communicate critical information across teams, defining and measuring success
  • Apply Research Expertise:
  • Apply expertise in research methodologies, human factors, and statistics to drive product design in an iterative environment
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, analytics, product management, customer support, marketing, and sales) to formulate and address research questions
  • Plan and Execute Research Projects:
  • Plan, execute, and analyze research projects independently and collaboratively
  • Support Survey Design and Execution:
  • Support survey design and execution, as well as statistical analysis
  • Conduct Secondary Research Scans:
  • Conduct secondary research scans and comparative/competitive analysis

To excel in this role, you will need:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's or master's degree in UX, design, research, business, or related fields; or equivalent project/portfolio experience
  • Experience:
  • 4-19 years of conducting user research within a UX team for software/web-based products
  • Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated knowledge of user-centered design principles and practices
  • Knowledge of the hospitality industry and experience working on enterprise software (a plus)
  • Experience with one or more of the following: quantitative survey programming and analysis, UX research for meeting/event planners, attendees software, UX research for mobile app/web development, managing/recruiting a usability lab, developing/executing research in support of product globalization, establishing/managing a product/software baseline measurement system
