We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team.

As a key member of our data engineering group, you'll play a critical role in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines, ensuring seamless integration with modern DevOps/configuration management tools.

  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or equivalent tools.
  • Maintain GitHub branch protection rules and workflows for efficient code integration and deployment.
  • Develop and optimize Spark jobs in Databricks for large-scale data processing.
  • Automate Databricks deployments using Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) or similar frameworks.
  • Build robust data pipelines using Python and SQL, incorporating unit testing, validation, and quality checks.
  • Ensure reliability and consistency across multi-environment deployments (Dev, Stage, Prod).
  • Create configuration files (YAML, JSON) for workflows, pipelines, and automation.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve configuration or syntax issues in YAML and related files.
  • Guarantee business continuity by maintaining critical Databricks notebooks.
  • Migrate legacy reports into modern self-serve dashboards (Snowflake, Tableau, Power BI).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver trusted data models, insights, and reporting.

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Strong expertise in SQL, Databricks (Spark), and Python/R programming languages.
  • Proficiency in GitHub and CI/CD practices (branch protection, GitHub Actions workflows).
  • Experience in implementing unit tests and quality checks in data workflows.
  • Familiarity with Databricks Asset Bundles (DABs) or similar automation tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills in data engineering workflows.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake or another cloud data warehouse.
  • Knowledge of creating user-friendly Tableau/Power BI dashboards.
