Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to support tax authorities and provide technical expertise in direct tax and transfer pricing issues.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. They must also be proactive, resourceful, and hands-on, with business acumen and adaptability in dynamic environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support tax authorities with assessment proceedings.
  • Liaise with tax authorities on ongoing matters.
  • Prepare rectification applications and submissions.
  • Conduct research on direct tax and transfer pricing issues, and prepare technical submissions.
  • File replies with tax authorities for penalty proceedings, stay of demand, demand adjustment, appeal effect applications, etc.
  • Prepare and file corporate tax returns.
  • Handle TDS returns independently.
  • Prepare advance tax computations based on estimates.
  • Advise on international tax matters, including DTAA provisions.

Key Interfaces:

  • Internal: Manufacturing, Legal, Sales & Marketing, Senior Management.
  • External: Auditors, Consultants.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Improved communication and collaboration with regional finance managers.
  • Timely and accurate support for strategic planning.
  • Reliable forecasting and re-estimates.
  • High-quality analysis of company performance.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (2021–2024 batch).

Experience:

  • 1–4 years of relevant tax experience (Big 4 preferred) and/or MNC.
  • Exposure to corporate tax and international taxation.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Knowledge of corporate tax and international tax regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; attention to detail.
  • Business acumen with adaptability in dynamic environments.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and hands-on individual with strong initiative.
