At Guidewire Software, we are seeking a Data Architect Lead who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our data analytics and visualization tools. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, high-performance software systems that help insurance companies gain actionable insights into their operational performance.

We believe that making a great decision should not require 100 in-house data scientists. Our products range from cyber risk quantification to potent ML sandboxes. We are a post-IPO company with the vision to change insurance. There is a lot to be done.

As a Data Architect Lead, you will lead design and architecture discussions for complex software systems, ensuring alignment with our company's technical vision and long-term scalability. You will work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead design and architecture discussions for complex software systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, and engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Coding Excellence: Develop high-quality, efficient, and maintainable code using Java and related technologies.
  • Code Reviews & Best Practices: Conduct thorough code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and uphold coding standards and best practices.
  • Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers, sharing expertise in Java, software design principles, and industry best practices.
  • Performance & Security: Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, security vulnerabilities, and other technical challenges.
  • Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest advancements in Java technologies, industry trends, and emerging best practices.
  • Agile Development: Actively participate in agile methodologies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
