Senior Mechanical Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled mechanical engineer to lead our systems integration efforts. As the first point of contact for all mechanical-related projects, you will be responsible for owning systems integration across chamber design, precision motion, enclosure development, safety interlocks, and scaling mechanical builds.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design compact vacuum chambers, precise motion stages, serviceable enclosures, and safety interlocks that enable fast sample-to-image experience.
  • Develop assembly and test playbooks, fixtures, torque specs, metrology checks, and drive it from prototype to pilot builds.
  • Qualify and scale local and global suppliers, partnering closely to improve yield and finish quality.
  • Lead system-level integration, balancing optics, electronics, thermal, acoustic, and safety needs.
Requirements:
  • Experience delivering electromechanical systems - scientific instruments, automation, or similar.
  • Comfortable with vacuum practice, precision motion, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, design for manufacturability.
  • Hands-on problem-solver with an eye for ergonomics and field-service.
