Job Overview:

We're seeking an experienced MongoDB expert to provide strategic guidance on transitioning our client's application backend to a MongoDB-based architecture.

  • Evaluate the suitability of MongoDB for our client's specific requirements, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  • Design and implement optimal data models and architectures for MongoDB, leveraging expertise in NoSQL database management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate architectural decisions, guaranteeing high-performance and data integrity.
  • Advise on hybrid database architectures, incorporating MongoDB with relational databases to enhance overall system efficiency.
  • Provide consultative services on NoSQL vs. RDBMS trade-offs, best practices, and cutting-edge solutions.

The ideal candidate will possess senior-level experience in MongoDB data modeling and architecture, with a deep understanding of NoSQL and relational database interactions. Experience working in a consulting or advisory capacity is highly valued, particularly within large-scale data modeling projects in manufacturing or supply chain environments.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of senior-level experience in MongoDB data modeling and architecture.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and optimize database solutions for performance, scalability, and security.
  • Familiarity with hybrid database architectures and cloud-based deployments.
  • Strong understanding of NoSQL and relational database trade-offs, as well as data warehousing solutions like Snowflake.
  • Proven track record of success in consulting or advisory roles, with a focus on high-stakes data modeling projects.
