Network Services Engineer

This position involves creating and optimizing network services and solutions to ensure an exceptional experience for individuals and organizations.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will provide technical expertise for all phases of the infrastructure lifecycle from concept through execution, ongoing management, and service retirement or refreshment.

  • Design, implement, and optimize local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless network systems for a global corporate network product, adhering to industry standards and best practices.
  • Manage network services and circuit capacity to ensure efficient data transmission and minimal downtime.
  • Plan and deliver projects including hardware and software specification, vendor coordination, and full operational turnover.
  • Develop and execute initiatives to simplify, standardize, optimize, and automate network designs, tooling, and operations.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of progressive experience in enterprise networking with a focus on wireless, SD-WAN, and LAN infrastructure.
  • Expertise in enterprise wireless protocols, RF site surveys, and security best practices, including hands-on experience with deployment, optimization, and troubleshooting of platforms like Mist AI, Cisco Wireless, or equivalent.
  • Proven hands-on experience with SD-WAN including policy configuration, site provisioning, and performance tuning, preferably with Palo Alto Prisma SD-WAN.
  • Strong understanding and implementation experience with fabric-based LAN architectures, such as Cisco LAN Fabric or HP Flex Fabric.
  • Proficient in Layer 2/3 networking concepts, including VLANs, STP, OSPF, BGP, and multicast.
  • Skilled in network monitoring, diagnostics, and performance tools like Wireshark, Net Brain, Thousand Eyes, or ADEM.
  • Excellent documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead network design and implementation projects independently or as part of a team.
