Job Title: Data Engineer

Job Description:

As a skilled Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on building, scaling, and modernizing impactful business systems. Your expertise in designing and developing new features and enhancements for our core platforms and services will be essential to our success.

You will contribute to the modernization and refactoring of existing systems and code bases, proposing innovative solutions to improve performance and maintainability. Additionally, you will experiment with GenAI-based innovations, tools, or workflows to solve business problems and create new value.

Key responsibilities include driving technical improvements, suggesting and leading platform upgrades, and championing engineering best practices. You will also investigate, debug, and resolve production issues to deliver robust solutions that meet the needs of real customers.

Technical Skills & Qualifications:

  • Python: Strong hands-on experience with core Python and its standard libraries is required.
  • Web Framework: Experience developing backend APIs and services using FastAPI/Flask is necessary.
  • RabbitMQ: Proficiency in implementing message queues and task distribution is expected.
  • Docker & Docker Compose: Experience containerizing applications and managing services is a must.
  • WebScraping: Demonstrated expertise with webscraping tools and techniques is required.
  • Playwright & Selenium: Practical experience with browser automation frameworks is desired.
  • PostgreSQL & SQLAlchemy: Proficient in SQL and ORM-based data access is necessary.
  • MongoDB & PyMongo: Experience with NoSQL data using PyMongo is a plus.
  • Redis: Practical use for caching and lightweight messaging is a benefit.
  • AWS: Hands-on experience with services such as S3, Secrets Manager, and Auto Scaling Groups (using boto3) is expected.
  • Linux/Unix: Comfort with command-line operations and scripting is required.
  • Git: Proficient in version control and team collaboration is necessary.
  • Concurrency: Experience with multithreading and asynchronous programming in Python is a plus.
  • API Integrations: Familiarity with integrating third-party APIs, including authentication, data handling, and rate limiting, is a benefit.
