Senior Operations Director

This leadership role oversees all operational aspects of event and catering services, aiming for excellence in execution, guest satisfaction, and profitability.

The successful candidate will lead a team to ensure seamless event logistics, drive continuous improvements, and maintain quality standards across all operations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversight of day-to-day operations for banquet and catering functions.
  • Collaboration with sales, culinary, and service teams to deliver exceptional events.
  • Development and implementation of SOPs for efficient event management.
  • Maintenance of guest satisfaction, service delivery, and quality standards across all events and operations.
  • Leadership and mentoring of teams in banqueting, kitchen stewarding, and F&B; recruitment, training, and staff management.
  • Budget preparation, cost control, and efficiency driving for maximum profitability.
  • Compliance with health, safety, food handling, and local regulations.
  • Nurturing client relationships to maximize repeat business and referrals.
  • Analysis of operational metrics and feedback to drive process improvements.
  • Vendor coordination for supplies, décor, AV, and event needs.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor's/master's degree in hospitality or related field.
  • 5+ years' experience in operational leadership in banqueting and catering.
  • Demonstrated expertise in team management, event operations, and logistical planning.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven track record of managing premium events and delivering high client satisfaction.
  • Proficiency with MS Office, event management systems, and financial controls.
