Job Overview

This is a career-defining opportunity for an experienced Multimedia News Producer to join our team in Bangalore. You will be responsible for sub-editing, localising and filing stories with relevant multimedia assets for media clients and our revamped news website.

About the Role

  • You will be part of a 24/7 desk, requiring shifts and weekend work.
  • Degree in Journalism or Mass Communication from a reputed university/institute is essential.
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in a news agency, newspaper or TV newsroom is required.
  • Impeccable writing skills and strong news judgement are crucial.
  • You should have knowledge of politics, economy, policy, markets, technology, sports and entertainment.
  • Multimedia experience and high level creativity are also required.
  • A strong team player with good communication skills is necessary.
  • Fast and accurate editing and packaging for the web is expected.
  • You should be adept at using editorial technology and have a solid understanding of legal risks and strong ethics.
  • The producer should have a keen eye for detail and keep our target sophisticated news consumer business audience in mind while ensuring the website is updated with the latest and best stories, photos, slideshows and videos curated from the Reuters wires, photo and video service.
  • Liaising with editors in NY and London to curate and design the homepage and other professional landing pages on
  • Proofreading social tweets/posts, mobile alerts, Google panels and corrections is also required.
