Hitachi Storage Expert Wanted

We are looking for a skilled Hitachi Storage professional to join our team.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Manage day-to-day storage administration, including collaboration with support teams and participation in problem-solving and troubleshooting.
    • Support the design, operation, workflow, and issue resolution for the storage infrastructure.
    • Maintain systems-level maintenance for storage infrastructure and track existing storage usage trends and capacity planning for future growth.
    • Provide SAN Configuration and Administration and Storage Allocations to server infrastructure.
    • Manage infrastructure events, including capacity management, monitoring of storage subsystem and SAN switch capacity, and performance analysis.
    • Investigate and diagnose raised problems or problem records for root cause analysis and perform necessary storage infrastructure maintenance.
    • Mentor and train junior admins and oversee the design, installation, configuration, and de-provisioning of storage solutions.
    • Perform capacity tuning and provide remediation recommendations and monitor IT service continuity management, including disaster recovery solutions and data movement and replication.
  • Requirements:
    • 8+ years of experience handling majority of activities mentioned in the scope above.
    • Experience in handling Hitachi storages and Brocade switches infrastructure.
    • Exposure to operations and management activities on Hitachi Storage(s), Unified compute platforms, various host O/S including basic cluster management.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Hitachi Technical certification is desirable.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with Hitachi Mid-Range and Enterprise storages operations support, including zoning via CISCO SAN Switches, storage pool creation, and monitoring tools. Strong troubleshooting skills and good communication skills are also essential.

This role requires someone who can manage shifts single-handedly and has the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
