Job Title: Cloud Infrastructure Manager

 

As a seasoned Cloud Infrastructure Manager, you will oversee the maintenance, support, and optimization of our Google Cloud Platform environment.

 

  • Administer and manage GCP infrastructure services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, etc.)
  • Monitor system health, performance, and availability using GCP monitoring tools (Stackdriver, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring)
  • Manage user access and security policies via IAM and service accounts
  • Perform incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for GCP services
  • Deploy, configure, and manage networking (VPC, VPN, Interconnect, Load Balancers, Firewalls) within GCP
  • Automate operational tasks using Terraform / Deployment Manager / scripts
  • Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) solutions on GCP
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for application deployment and integration
  • Ensure compliance with security and governance policies
  • Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and SOPs for GCP operations

 

Required Skills:

 

  • Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform administration and support
  • Hands-on with GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Networking, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, GKE, Pub/Sub
  • Good knowledge of Linux/Windows system administration
  • Familiarity with scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.) for automation
  • Understanding of networking (DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPC peering)
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Stackdriver / Cloud Monitoring)
  • Knowledge of Cloud Security best practices, IAM, and compliance
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management)
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills

 

Preferred Skills:

 

  • Experience with Terraform / Ansible / Deployment Manager
  • Exposure to Kubernetes (GKE) and container management
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • GCP Certification (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect) is a plus
