Job Overview

As an Engineering Manager, you will lead a team of talented engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions for our clients.

You will be responsible for overseeing the engineering process, ensuring the successful delivery of projects, and fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Main Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, fostering their professional growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, design, and quality assurance.
  • Drive a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and engineering excellence.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs, define project requirements, and provide regular updates.
  • Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, ensuring adherence to best practices and company standards.
  • Review and approve technical designs, architecture, and code to ensure high quality and maintainability.
  • Stay current with industry trends, tools, and technologies to ensure the team is using the most effective solutions.
  • Implement and optimize engineering processes to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Champion Agile methodologies and other project management practices that best suit the team and projects.
  • Identify areas for automation and other improvements to enhance productivity.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the engineering team and other departments.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including clients, executives, and other teams, to ensure alignment on goals and deliverables.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience working in an IT services or consulting environment is preferred.
  • Strong technical background with expertise in software development, architecture, and engineering best-practices.
  • Familiarity with a wide range of technologies, including Frontend (React JS, Vue JS), Backend (Node JS, Python, Laravel), and Database (Mysql, Mongo DB), including Cloud platforms (AWS), Dev Ops, and modern software development frameworks.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies, CI/CD, and project management tools.
  • Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team-building skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying issues and driving solutions.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and clients.
