Job Title: Data Engineer

About this Role:

Our organization is seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join our remote team. This role involves designing and developing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure that support real-time and batch data processing.

The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, high-quality data systems that power analytics, insights, and data-driven decision-making.

The ideal candidate will enjoy working with big data technologies, solving complex data problems, and building systems that scale.

  • Design and develop robust data pipelines and ETL workflows
  • Build and manage scalable data architectures and cloud-based infrastructure
  • Ensure data accuracy, completeness, consistency, and governance
  • Collaborate with analytics and engineering teams to understand data needs
  • Optimize performance of data systems, queries, and storage solutions
  • Implement data quality monitoring and alerting systems
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for data workflows and schemas

Key Responsibilities:

This position requires a proven track record as a Data Engineer. The ideal candidate will possess strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, Cassandra) databases are also required.

Experience with data processing frameworks like Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or Flink, as well as hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, are necessary.

Familiarity with modern data warehousing tools (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift, BigQuery) and experience with orchestration tools like Airflow, Luigi, or Prefect are preferred.

Understanding of data security, privacy, and compliance practices, as well as strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, are essential.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required.
