Unified Voice and Firewall Engineer Job DescriptionWe're seeking a seasoned Unified Voice & Firewall Engineer to bridge the gap between enterprise voice collaboration systems and network security.About the Role

This is a pivotal position where you'll be responsible for administering, supporting, and managing various unified communications systems. Your expertise will ensure seamless integration of voice and security solutions, maintaining uptime, and adhering to compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) Administration: Manage CUCM, Webex Calling, and Webex Contact Center deployments, ensuring optimal performance and troubleshooting issues as needed.
  2. Voice Recording Platforms: Oversee certificate lifecycle management for platforms like Cistera or similar solutions.
  3. Certificate Management: Deploy, renew, and secure certificates to maintain data integrity and security.
  4. Network Monitoring: Utilize LogicMonitor, WhatsUp Gold, SolarWinds, or similar tools to monitor network performance and identify potential issues.
  5. Firewall Administration: Configure and manage firewalls including Cisco ASA/FTD, Fortinet FortiGate, and Palo Alto, implementing policies, VPNs, NAT, and ACLs to secure enterprise networks.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of combined experience in Voice/UC engineering and Firewall administration.
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of CUCM, Webex, SIP trunks, and voice integration.
  • A strong understanding of Cisco ASA/FTD and Fortinet FortiGate, with expertise in managing certificates, PKI, and secure communications.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like WhatsUp Gold, LogicMonitor, or SolarWinds.
