Dessert Expert

This role involves the preparation of various Pastry and dessert menu items according to recipes and visuals.

• Prepare Pastry and dessert items in line with recipes and display requirements.
• Manage a designated area within the pastry galley, overseeing tasks and operations.
• Direct Pastry and dessert production, including setting up buffets as needed.
• Assist with transporting food items from main stores to the pastry galley.
• Clean and sanitize working areas and utensils adhering to US Public Health standards.
• Participate in early standby shifts for USPH purposes.
• Provide excellent customer service, responding to guest inquiries.
• Attend meetings, training sessions, courses, and other work-related events as required.

• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Pastry Cook in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and basic education equivalency requirement.
