Data Storage Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Data Storage Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing level 2 and 3 support for storage systems in a mission-critical banking environment.

The role involves performing daily health checks, monitoring, and routine tasks using runbooks. You will also be required to acknowledge and triage alerts, log and update incidents in ServiceNow/BMC.

In addition, you will be expected to execute backups/restores and routine jobs under change and supervision. This position requires strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with storage systems, including SAN, NAS, ECS, and MF DASD + TAPE. They should also be familiar with runbooks and have experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with storage systems, including SAN, NAS, ECS, and MF DASD + TAPE.
  • Experience with runbooks and trouble-shooting.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
