Key Roles and Responsibilities

The primary function of this role is to create, maintain, and improve data pipelines that are high-performance, scalable, and efficient. This involves designing and building data pipelines that meet business requirements, as well as ensuring they are optimized for data extraction, transformation, and loading.

This role also requires the development and implementation of data models, ETL processes, and data warehousing solutions that support business decision-making. Additionally, the successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining optimal Data Lake setups, assembling large and complex data sets, and identifying opportunities for internal process improvements.

  • Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL
Requirements

This role requires a strong background in big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Hive, and relational SQL and NoSQL databases. The ideal candidate should have experience working with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data pipeline and workflow management tools (Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow). Strong project management and organizational skills are also essential for this role.

  • BE/B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc. with 5+ years' experience in Data Analytics/Data Engineering
  • Experience with data pipeline and workflow management tools: Azkaban, Luigi, Airflow, etc.
  • Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud)
  • Strong knowledge of message queuing, stream processing, and highly scalable 'big data' data stores
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
