Job Title

A compassionate and proactive individual is sought after to assume the role of Animal Emergency Response Specialist.

The selected candidate will work closely with our emergency response team to provide timely assistance to animals in distress, adhering to established procedures and protocols.

This is a full-time position requiring flexibility, including working morning, evening, night, and weekend shifts. The successful candidate will be expected to report directly to the Director-Emergency Response Team.

Key Responsibilities
  • To promptly respond to emergency calls and emails related to animal welfare, exercising discretion and compassion when dealing with sensitive situations.
  • Assist senior paravets and office staff in providing aid to animals in need, adhering to PETA India's operating standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with approved animal-protection organizations, government agencies, and designated officials to facilitate emergency rescues across the country.
  • File police complaints and First Information Reports as necessary, visiting relevant agencies and case sites when required.
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls and emails received, detailing how they were handled and resolved.
Requirements
  • A minimum of a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
  • Prior experience handling emergency responses for animals is highly valued.
  • Proficiency in computer applications.
  • Fluency in Hindi and English, with knowledge of other local Indian languages being an asset.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, including multitasking.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to remain patient and composed when interacting with diverse contacts.
  • Passion for ending animal cruelty and helping those in need.
  • Compassionate and responsible character traits are essential.
  • Outgoing and personable manner with exceptional communication skills.
