Expert Trade Spend Operations Lead

This critical role demands a seasoned professional with extensive experience in managing rebate and trade spend operations. As the key domain authority, you will collaborate closely with finance leaders to translate rebate challenges into business outcomes.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with rebate agreements, claims validation, and finance operations. Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle, TPM tools like Exceedra or Blacksmith, and CLM systems is highly desirable. Strong communication skills are essential for bridging finance operations and CFO-level discussions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the subject matter expert in rebate and trade spend operations.
  • Translate contracts and rebate terms into operational pain points recognized by CFOs.
  • Define requirements for automation of rebate logic (tiers, thresholds, accruals, FX).
  • Build best practices for reconciliation, deduction validation, and exception handling.
  • Provide audit-ready frameworks to meet finance and compliance requirements.
Requirements:
  • 8+ years in CPG, Retail, or related industries, with deep exposure to trade spend, deductions, and rebate management.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, TPM tools, and CLM systems.
  • Strong understanding of the P&L impact of rebates, accruals, and working capital.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
