Senior Agricultural Insurance Technology Manager

We use mobile, geospatial technologies, and web platforms to empower the next generation of agricultural insurance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead an engineering team in building/enhancing technology for agriculture insurance.
- Develop high-quality code that scales and meets user demands.
- Make design decisions based on performance, scalability, and future expansion.
- Provide technical leadership to mobile and web development engineers.
- Help level up the team; share knowledge, conduct code reviews, drive quality and process improvements.
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and QA engineers to ship quality software.
- Contribute to all phases of SDLC including design, implementation, code reviews, automation, and testing.
Requirements:
- Minimum 8 years of experience in building/shipping high-quality tech components, preferably in Java, Spring Boot, and JPA.
- Integration experience with Kafka, Camunda, and distributed caching is a plus.
- Deep knowledge in selecting/configuring integrating 3rd party SaaS or COTS solutions.
- Hands-on development skills in Java, Python, or NodeJS.
- Strong SQL skills and experience with relational/non-relational databases.
- Broad experience in building interfaces between cloud solutions, API management, and development.
- Detailed real-world experience with Scrum or similar agile methodologies.
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Azure, Azure Infra, and DevSecOps.
- At least 2 years of experience managing high-output teams with 5+ members.
- Outstanding communication skills and emotional intelligence.
