Job Title:

Support Operations Analyst

Situated at the heart of our business operations, this hands-on role supports bespoke applications across key areas.

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and driven individual to fill this critical position.
About the Role:
  • This is a fast-paced, dynamic environment that requires someone who can think on their feet, manage competing priorities, and remain calm under pressure.
  • The ideal candidate will have proven experience in application support within a high-pressure environment.
  • They will be responsible for resolving incidents and service requests raised by users, taking full ownership of assigned tasks.
  • Responsibilities include acting as a front-line responder, escalating issues when required, and collaborating with senior team members.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Incident Management:
    • Act as a primary point of contact within the Application Support team.
    • Resolve incidents and service requests raised by users in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge Management & Training:
    • Ensure all support guides, knowledge articles, and training materials are regularly updated and easily accessible.
    • Provide comprehensive training to new and existing users to enhance understanding and adoption of the system.
  • System Expertise & Continuous Improvement:
    • Develop and maintain in-depth functional knowledge of our bespoke trading application.
    • Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for new system releases, ensuring seamless integration and minimal disruption.
  • Additional Duties:
    • Support ad-hoc business tasks and initiatives aligned with the goals of the Application Support function.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience working with and documenting bespoke business applications.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering training to stakeholders and end users.
  • Familiarity with ITSM tools such as ServiceDesk Plus or ServiceNow.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to investigate root causes of recurring application issues.
  • Logical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications / Accreditations:
  • A relevant degree in Information Systems or computing studies.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as Application Support Analyst or a similar role.
  • Experience of supporting business-critical applications and customer-facing web applications.
