Job Title

Candidates with a strong background in project financial management are sought after to lead cost analysis and control efforts on large-scale projects.

  • Project Cost Analysis and Control
  • Monitors and analyzes project costs to ensure alignment with budgets and identify areas for improvement.
  • Prepares detailed variance reports to highlight the causes of deviations between budgeted and actual costs.
  • Validates petty cash and non-PO based expenses, assesses suppliers, and manages credit facilities.
  • Progress Monitoring and Reporting
  • Collaborates with project teams to track progress and update percentage-of-completion calculations as per IFRS 15.
  • Provides regular insights and reports on cost performance, profit margins, and project cash flow.
  • Contract and Cost Compliance
  • Ensures compliance with contractual agreements and project-specific financial regulations.
  • Validates costs in line with contract terms and identifies cost overruns or savings opportunities.
  • Conducts audits to ensure accurate allocation of costs to respective projects and phases.
  • Inventory and Procurement Cost Management
  • Works with procurement to control and analyze material and service costs.
  • Implements strategies to minimize waste and optimize inventory valuation.
  • Risk Management and Cost Optimization
  • Identifies potential risks related to project costs and recommends strategies for cost reduction.
  • Fixed Assets Management at Project Site
  • Tracks, records, and monitors fixed assets to ensure proper utilization and maintenance.
  • Oversees asset capitalization, depreciation calculations, and ensures compliance with accounting standards.
  • Financial Reporting and Forecasting
  • Prepares regular financial and cost reports, analyzing project expenses, and forecasting costs for budgeting purposes.
  • Generates reports detailing variances, expected cost overruns, and other key financial metrics.

Required Skills:

  • Familiarity with IFRS, particularly IFRS 15 (Revenue from Contracts with Customers), IFRS 9, IFRS 16, and IAS 16.
  • Understanding of EPC project lifecycle, cost drivers, and risks.
  • Familiarity with project management and accounting software.
  • Strong analytical skills in cost analysis, budgeting, and variance analysis.
  • Effective communication skills to present cost information and insights to management.
