Engineering Supply Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Engineering Supply Specialist to manage and update laboratory equipment across various sites.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of test solutions and equipment, maintaining calibration and certification requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Proficient in using various laboratory instruments and tools.
  • Strong experience with cable harness fabrication (crimping & Soldering) adhering to industry standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of different power types used in laboratories (AC & DC).
  • Plan and optimize laboratory layouts for diverse test benches and explore opportunities for space optimization.
  • Develop and implement plans for electrical and mechanical requirements of laboratories across sites and support deployment of test benches.
  • Expertise in cable fabrication, soldering, lab equipment handling, ESD in labs, and understanding of IPC-A-610 certification.
  • Excellent electrical and mechanical integration knowledge.
  • Proactive collaboration with users and product teams to understand overall test solution needs.
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of competitive landscapes, benchmarking design, and technology trends.
  • Open to feedback and constructive criticism.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in laboratory management with hands-on experience in equipment calibration, testing, and maintenance.
  • Diploma or equivalent degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Hands-on experience coordinating with multiple teams for laboratory upgrades and maintenance.
  • Knowledge of various cable harnesses and connectors (DSUB, Circular).
  • Thorough understanding of laboratory equipment, their functions, and input requirements.
  • Understanding of laboratory electrical, mechanical, and cooling requirements.
  • Ability to work independently in complex, dynamic business scenarios.
  • Experience with AC and DC power supply systems.
  • Prior hands-on experience with test solutions.
