Requirements:

  1. Supplier Evaluation & Selection
    • Conduct initial assessments and audits for new suppliers to ensure they meet the company's quality standards.
    • Collaborate with procurement and engineering teams to define supplier requirements and select approved suppliers.
  2. Supplier Performance Monitoring
    • Track and analyze supplier performance metrics including defect rates, delivery timelines, and compliance with specifications.
    • Develop and implement scorecards or dashboards to monitor supplier quality and drive continuous improvement.
    • Regularly review and report on supplier quality performance to senior management.
  3. Quality Control & Assurance
    • Establish and enforce quality standards for incoming materials and components.
    • Coordinate and perform regular audits of supplier production processes and quality management systems.
    • Work closely with suppliers to resolve quality issues and develop corrective action plans.
  4. Nonconformance Management
    • Investigate and analyze nonconforming materials or components working with suppliers to identify root causes.
    • Initiate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) with suppliers and ensure timely implementation of solutions.
    • Maintain records of nonconformances and track trends to proactively prevent recurring issues.
  5. Continuous Improvement Initiatives
    • Drive continuous improvement in supplier quality processes by applying lean methodologies and best practices.
    • Facilitate training sessions for suppliers to align them with company quality standards and expectations.
    • Participate in cross-functional teams to improve processes and efficiency within the supply chain.
  6. Documentation & Compliance
    • Ensure all supplier quality documents are maintained, updated, and comply with relevant standards such as ISO, Six Sigma, or Lean Manufacturing.
    • Develop and maintain quality inspection procedures and checklists for incoming materials.
  7. Collaboration & Communication
    • Act as the primary liaison between suppliers and internal teams, maintaining open and effective communication.
    • Coordinate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless integration of supplier quality standards into product development.
