X++ Developer Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity to work as a skilled X++ developer on high-impact ERP transformation projects in the automotive industry.

As an X++ developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and customizing Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions using X++. You will also build and enhance Electronic Reporting (ER) configurations aligned with business requirements. Additionally, you will collaborate with functional teams to translate requirements into technical specifications, troubleshoot and debug existing code for performance and scalability, and participate in full-cycle implementation projects from design through to deployment and support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and customize Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O solutions using X++.
  • Build and enhance Electronic Reporting (ER) configurations aligned with business requirements.
  • Collaborate with functional teams to translate requirements into technical specifications.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing code for performance and scalability.
  • Participate in full-cycle implementation projects from design through to deployment and support.
  • Develop and maintain integrations with internal and external systems using standard frameworks.
  • Support data migration activities, ensuring integrity and quality of transferred data.
  • Provide technical documentation and contribute to knowledge transfer across teams.
  • Ensure all customizations align with best practices, coding standards, and regulatory compliance.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Extensive hands-on experience with X++ development in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Strong expertise in Electronic Reporting (ER) within D365.
  • Proven track record of delivering customizations and enhancements in enterprise ERP environments.
  • Good knowledge of D365 modules such as: Finance (General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets), Supply Chain (Procurement & Sourcing, Inventory, Warehouse, Product Information Management).
  • Experience with integrations, data migration, and performance tuning.
  • Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in global, cross-functional teams.
