The tech lead will take technology decisions, lead development, and mentor team members for delivery of products being built.

As an AI Tech Owner, you will blend deep domain expertise with a passion for coaching and developing people. You will be committed to maintaining and developing your own expertise and knowledge to ensure you bring your thought leadership to the product's development. You will bring expertise in full-stack AI development, performance, and stability of custom-built products. This tech owner role oversees all aspects of backend development, including API and core functional logic, with add-on skills of frontend development. This may include developing API development, backend development in technologies like Python, Typescript, React. Work would also involve documentation of all designs and development. It would be required to attend Agile ceremonies and demo/present the development work incrementally.

Among your responsibilities, you will:
  • Deliver product outcomes
    • Be a partner to the product owner, leading development and owning on-time delivery of the software/AI product ensuring squad deliveries are completed on time with quality
    • Sharing expertise with squad members and working cross-functionally to advance the work of the Squad.
    • Partner with product owner to ensure non-functional requirements, technology upgrades receive priority while prioritizing backlog for development
  • Develop self and squad members
    • Staying abreast of relevant developments and innovations in domain area, both internally and externally.
    • Maintaining your own technical knowledge through learning and continuous improvement.
    • Oversee and provide feedback to Chapter lead to help develop squad members improve domain knowledge and better serve the squads in which they work
    • Discussing technology roadmap and opportunities with the Tech Area Lead
  • Share knowledge and expertise within and outside of the Chapter
    • Ensuring the 'how' of the work performed by Chapter members is aligned with established technical roadmaps and guardrails to drive strategy.
    • Sharing relevant insights and developments within area of expertise and external trends with the squad members and Tech Area Lead.
    • Actively sharing knowledge and expertise across the organization with other Chapters.
  • Identify technical needs throughout the organization
    • Engaging Product Owners, Tribe Leads, and Tech Area Leads to build technology roadmap for the product including security, compliance, and performance needs.
    • Identifying expertise and resource gaps and elevating to Chapter Lead as input to future hiring, talent development, and training.
  • Enable the organization's new way of working
    • Modelling behaviors to support the organization's transformation to a new way of working.

REQUIREMENTS

Total 8+ years' relevant software development experience, including experience leading development teams and solving complex problems for business functions.

Significant expertise in product software development, with a desire to remain 'hands on'.

5+ years of experience in Python.

3+ years of experience in React.

Working knowledge of Typescript.

Lead-level full-stack coding experience Backend/API (node.js, Python), Front end/UI (React.js)

Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g. Python, Node JS, Typescript).

Knowledge of multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g. React, Node.js, HTML/ CSS, JavaScript).

UI/front-end tools and frameworks, APIs, relational databases, and other persistence technologies, integration tools, and strategies, etc..

Strong understanding of Cloud offerings (AWS) and capabilities.

Strong understanding of working with 3rd party APIs (e.g. OpenAI API)

Strong software design & development principles, with a focus on system stability, reusability, and performance optimized for a global audience.

Experience leveraging DevOps tools and principles.

Experience leveraging database technologies like SQL, Postgres, AWS S3, etc.

Experience in Agile Methodologies, establishing a culture of continuous improvement, understanding, and applying a 'servant leader' mindset.

Strong communications, influencing, and stakeholder management skills.

Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort working within rapidly changing environment.

Familiarity with machine learning concepts and integrating with models would be a plus
YOU'LL WORK WITH

Your AI Engineering chapter lead, by helping set the technical direction, establishing objectives and key results, and ensuring that you maximize outputs and working products.

Portfolio Architect, Product Owners, and other Tribe Tech Owners with whom you shall work to ensure a positive collaboration to deliver squad outcomes.

Agile Coaches and Scrum Masters, that will ensure that you adopt agile principles, mindset, and ways of working into your daily routine and who will coach you during the transformation.

Squad members of a specific squad, led by a Product Owner.
