Key Responsibilities:

  • Food Preparation: Prepare a variety of dishes by chopping, slicing, and seasoning ingredients, and cooking food using various methods.
  • Planning and Ordering: Plan menus and order ingredients, inspecting deliveries to ensure fresh produce.
  • Following Recipes: Select and follow recipes, adjusting them to meet special dietary requirements.
  • Presentation: Ensure dishes are attractive, appetizing, and garnished.
  • Maintaining Kitchen Hygiene: Wash dishes, sanitize surfaces, take out trash, and store food properly.
  • Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations: Create and follow a food safety program, meeting food safety and sanitation regulations.
  • Training Others: Train kitchen hands or apprentices.
  • Liaising with Others: Liaise with wait staff and management.

Additional Tasks: Assist in the preparation of dishes, perform other kitchen duties as assigned, and carry out basic cleaning duties.
