Job Title:

Database Administrator

Description:

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to optimize database performance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in query optimization, indexing, partitioning, and optimizer hints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Optimize database interaction patterns for high concurrency and sla targets.
  • Develop and maintain efficient database design for web applications.
  • Monitor system health, query execution plans, and workload statistics.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and resolve database bottlenecks affecting application/api performance.
  • Tune sql queries, pl/sql packages, stored procedures, and indexes for optimal response times.
  • Implement best practices for connection pooling, partitioning, and caching strategies.
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 6–8 years of hands-on experience as a dba, with emphasis on database administration responsibilities.
  • Strong expertise in database performance tuning, indexing, partitioning, optimizer hints.
  • Sql and pl/sql development and debugging.
  • Awr, ash, addm, tkprof, and other diagnostic/tuning tools.
  • Experience supporting web applications, api-driven architectures, or middleware platforms.
  • Familiarity with data synchronization between on-prem and cloud databases.
  • Knowledge of high availability, scalability, and sla management for mission-critical applications.
  • Solid understanding of database security, auditing, and user access controls.
Preferred/Bonus Skills:
  • Exposure to replication tools.
  • Experience with containerization (docker, kubernetes) and devops pipelines for db changes.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools.
