Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a technical team from a strategic perspective, providing IT support related to the MPMS Retirement Solutions application environments and interfaces both on-prem and cloud.

  • Diagnose, resolve, and analyze issues, identify problem workarounds, and document them.
  • Provide support for scheduled release upgrades and deployments.
  • Ensure service requests are appropriately actioned according to service levels and performance targets.

Key Accountabilities

Strategic Focus:

  • Operational support and continuous improvement of infrastructure estate and processes for Development and Test environments up to and including Production.
  • Automation and process efficiency utilisation to reduce cycle times and improve reliability, audit, and traceability.

Operational Management

Key Responsibilities include ensuring Production is managed, supported, and controlled with appropriate governance and agility.

  • Protecting Production environments by governance, good practice/process, design, and 'fit for purpose' environments.
  • Ensuring project and change release(s) are packaged to the right quality, repeatable between environments without change or modification, and deployed to target environments.

People Leadership

Leading a team of skilled resources to deliver projects and changes, developing their technical skills, and managing them effectively.

  • Managing a team of Test Environment Engineers & Middleware specialists and supporting environment management on non-prod environments.
  • Developing technical skills required for test environment management function for self and the team.

Governance & Risk

Ensuring key performance indicators are met, such as SLA compliance, incident levels, and server patch levels adhere to policy.
