Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Engineer to join our team.

The ideal candidate will design, develop and maintain scalable backend applications using Python and MySQL.

About the Role:

  • Design and implement robust and efficient backend systems hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality integrated solutions.
  • Maintain, enhance and troubleshoot existing software applications to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Write clean, modular and testable code following industry best practices.
  • Analyze and resolve complex programming issues and performance bottlenecks.
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 5+ years of experience in backend development, particularly with web and mobile applications.
  • Strong expertise in Python and MySQL, with proven experience building scalable applications.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), version control and CI/CD practices.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and deliver in a fast-paced global environment.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to learn quickly.
  • Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Understanding of ML fundamentals and building APIs/services to serve ML models.
