We are seeking a seasoned Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) expert to lead our HSE function at our Dahej site. As the HSE Director, you will be responsible for ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and minimizing our environmental footprint.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the management representative for ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 standards, ensuring compliance and certification.
  • Coordinate the certification and recertification processes for our ISO systems, maintaining their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and accountability for managing HSE and Sustainability across our CRAMS business, driving a culture of safety and responsibility.
  • Lead Environmental and Sustainability projects, identifying opportunities for improvement and providing innovative solutions for a sustainable future.
  • Demonstrate expertise in water and wastewater treatment systems, waste management, air quality management, and environmental impact assessment studies, ensuring regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • Review and update our existing HSE policy framework to align with business needs and current scenarios, ensuring it remains effective and relevant.
  • Drive the establishment of systems for HAZOP/LOPA/QRA/ESIA, ensuring compliance and facilitating safety clearances for all CAPEX Projects.
  • Foster a culture of knowledge sharing and learning within the organization, identifying training needs and organizing seminars, workshops, and training programs on Health, Safety, Environment, and Industrial Hygiene for Executives, Supervisors, and Contractors.
  • Demonstrate expertise in fire prevention and firefighting systems, ensuring their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Document and implement all HSE management systems, ensuring their integrity and reliability.
  • Prepare yearly budgets for HSE, ensuring their alignment with business objectives and goals.
  • Develop and enhance the core functionality of the HSE department, driving a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Demonstrate experience in TFS audits, ensuring timely closure of all audit observations and developing CAPA with 360-degree implementation across the site.

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with site leadership to establish short and long-term HSE objectives, ensuring personnel safety and environmental sustainability.
  • Establish site HSE metrics, drive action plans, and regularly publish status updates, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Equip the site leadership team with the necessary tools and expertise to establish and maintain an effective operating environment that facilitates HSE cultural growth.
  • Ensure mechanisms are established to identify and manage HSE regulatory requirements, preparing impact assessments, permit applications, registrations, and certifications, as well as routine and special reports, and oversight of routine inspection.
  • Timely evaluate and periodically review the site operational HSE profile, ensuring the application of effective controls and best practices.
  • Evaluate process safety testing and assessments for RM's, Intermediates, APIs, and internal Process Safety Laboratory scientists, ensuring their accuracy and reliability.
  • Expertise in handling process safety assessment projects, including trainings on process safety for Site leaders.
  • Provide expertise in chemical and noise exposure assessments, including initial basic characterization and exposure assessment, baseline exposure assessment, validation of the results, and strengthening the Occupational Hygiene program at the site with low-cost solutions.
