Remote Desktop Solutions Architect

About this role:

We are seeking a seasoned Remote Desktop Solutions Architect to design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures for end-to-end virtual desktop solutions.

This individual will guide customers from what's now to what's next by unlocking the value of their data and applications to solve their digital challenges, achieving outcomes that benefit both business and society.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement infrastructure architecture for virtual desktop environments.
  • Integrate various products including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud with Azure services.
  • Configure and manage Azure resources such as virtual machines, session hosts, networks, and storage.
  • Develop identity and access management strategies including integration with Azure Active Directory, multifactor authentication, and role-based access controls.
  • Optimize virtual desktop performance by monitoring resource allocation, load balancing, and network bandwidth.
  • Implement security measures including data encryption, access controls, and compliance requirements.
  • Design high availability and disaster recovery solutions to minimize downtime and data loss.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or information technology or equivalent experience.
  • Several years of experience in designing and implementing virtual desktop solutions using Citrix technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure services including Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Active Directory, and virtual networks.
  • Proficiency in Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud.
  • Experience in network design including connectivity options, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
  • Familiarity with identity and access management concepts.
  • Understanding of performance optimization techniques, monitoring tools, and troubleshooting methodologies.
