Job Opportunity: Radiology Medical Coder

Experience Requirement: 1 year of hands-on experience in radiology coding is preferred.

We are seeking skilled professionals to accurately assign CPT, ICD-10-CM, Modifiers and HCPCS codes for diagnostic and Therapeutic radiology procedures. This role requires proficiency in assigning codes in accordance with federal regulations, payer-specific requirements, and internal quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze radiology reports to assign accurate diagnosis and procedure codes.
  • Ensure compliance with ACR, CMS, and payer guidelines by utilizing advanced knowledge of medical terminology and coding principles.
  • Code a variety of radiology modalities including X-ray, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and Radiation oncology.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, billing staff, and auditors to resolve coding discrepancies and improve overall workflow efficiency.
  • Stay updated with the latest coding guidelines, NCCI edits, and regulatory changes to maintain high accuracy rates.
  • Meet productivity and accuracy benchmarks as established by the department.
  • Assist in internal and external audits as needed to ensure seamless operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC)
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in radiology coding (IR preferred).
  • Familiarity with MIPS Coding requirements and thorough understanding of CPT, ICD-10-CM, and HCPCS Level II codes.
  • Knowledge of payer-specific rules and LCD/NCD policies is essential.
