Job Position

Our company is looking for a seasoned developer to join our team as a Senior Software Engineer.

  • This role requires a professional with extensive experience in back-end development, preferably using Java 8 or higher, and the Spring Framework (Core/Boot/MVC).
  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Data Structures, Object-Oriented Programming, and Design Patterns.
  • Experience with REST APIs and Microservices Architecture is essential for this position.
  • Proficiency in working with Relational and NoSQL databases (Preferably PostgreSQL and MongoDB) is also required.
  • Hands-on experience working in e-commerce domain and experience with cloud-native databases like DynamoDB are highly desirable.
  • The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is an added advantage.
  • A strong understanding of UML and design patterns, along with excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, are crucial for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Designing and developing high-quality software applications.
  • Understanding functional requirements thoroughly and analyzing client needs in the context of the project.
  • Envisioning overall solutions for defined functional and non-functional requirements and defining technologies, patterns, and frameworks to realize them.
  • Determining and implementing design methodologies and tool sets.
  • Coordinating requirements, schedules, and activities to enable application development.
  • Leading/supporting UAT and production roll outs.
  • Creating, understanding, and validating WBS and estimated effort for given module/task and justifying it.
  • Addressing issues promptly and responding positively to setbacks and challenges with a mindset of continuous improvement.
  • Giving constructive feedback to team members and setting clear expectations.
  • Helping the team in troubleshooting and resolving complex bugs.
  • Coming up with solutions to any issue raised during code/design review and being able to justify the decision taken.
  • Carrying out POCs to ensure that suggested design/technologies meet the requirements.
