The role of an accounting clerk involves providing support to clients as they work with and understand financial processes. This includes assisting in the execution of general ledger impacted processes, such as account balancing, ledger reconciliation, and discrepancy resolution.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform accounting functions, including account balancing, ledger reconciliation, reporting, and discrepancy resolution.
  • Coordinate and implement accounting work and projects as assigned.
  • Generate accurate and timely results in the form of reports and presentations.
  • Compile, code, categorize, calculate, tabulate, audit, or verify information or data.
  • Ensure profits and losses are documented accurately.
  • Monitor taxes and ensure they are current, collected, and/or accrued.
  • Maintain a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard assets.
  • Complete period-end functions each period.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems, and processes.
  • Keep up-to-date technically and apply new knowledge to your job.
  • Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence, and encourage others.
  • Advocate sound financial/business decision making.
  • Support employee development, mentoring, and training.

Requirements:

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required for this role. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, as well as the ability to analyze complex financial data and develop solutions. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications is also necessary.
