Expert Policy Configuration Specialist

This is a challenging role involving close collaboration with business stakeholders, architects, and technical teams to design, configure, and deliver solutions across policy administration. The consultant will provide in-depth technical expertise, mentor junior team members, and ensure high-quality deliverables that meet client needs and project objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Configure and implement policy solutions, including product models, forms, rules, rating, and workflows.
  • Work closely with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into system configurations.
  • Participate in solution design discussions, providing input on best practices and technical approaches.
  • Develop and maintain configuration documentation, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
  • Conduct unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing.
  • Collaborate with architects and developers to integrate policy systems with external systems and services.
  • Troubleshoot issues and provide production support as needed.
  • Mentor junior team members and share knowledge of policy capabilities and configuration practices.
Requirements:
  • 5 years of hands-on experience with policy configuration.
  • Strong expertise in policy tools such as authoring, skins, forms, rating, and product studio.
  • Experience configuring policy administration functions, including rating, rules, forms, and workflows.
  • Solid understanding of insurance domain processes and principles across multiple lines of business.
  • Familiarity with integrations using XML, SOAP, REST APIs, and messaging services.
  • Ability to analyze complex business requirements and provide effective configuration solutions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in agile project environments.
  • Prior experience mentoring or leading junior consultants is a plus.
