Metal Fabricator Role

We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator to join our team in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The ideal candidate will have expertise in fabricating high-quality metal components for clients.

This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to work with precision and attention to detail. As a Metal Fabricator, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering blueprints, setting up fabricating machines, and performing quality checks on finished products.

Responsibilities:

01] Reading and interpreting engineering blueprints accurately.

02] Constructing templates as needed and ensuring accuracy.

03] Measuring and marking cutting and bending lines with precision.

04] Setting up metalwork machinery, including rollers, drill presses, flame cutters, brakes, and shears safely and efficiently.

05] Double-checking specifications before cutting work begins.

06] Fabricating and constructing high-quality metal components according to design specifications.

07] Grinding and finishing completed products to meet quality standards.

08] Performing quality control checks on completed products thoroughly.

09] Adhering to state and company safety regulations at all times.

10] Completing job reports effectively.

Requirements:

01] Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

02] Previous experience working as a Metal Fabricator in the steel industry is essential.

03] Advanced welding skills and knowledge of manufacturing procedures are required.

04] Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering blueprints is crucial.

05] Familiarity with metal fabrication tools, including shears, rollers, flame cutters, and drill presses, is necessary.

06] Strong mathematical and engineering skills are required for accurate calculations and measurements.

07] Ability to lift and manipulate heavy metal objects safely is essential.

08] Standing for extended periods is a requirement of this role.
