Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Tester

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Tester to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing infrastructure and application vulnerability assessments, operating VA/PT tools, prioritizing remediation based on risk, and generating vulnerability reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Infrastructure and Application Vulnerability Assessments: Conduct regular vulnerability scans of our infrastructure and applications using industry-standard tools.
  2. VA/PT Tools Operation: Operate VA/PT tools such as Tenable, prioritize remediation based on risk, and generate vulnerability reports.
  3. Maintenance and Analysis: Maintain scanning activities, analyze results, and ensure timely remediation.
  4. Vendor and Third-Party Advisories: Monitor vendor and third-party advisories for vulnerabilities.
  5. Collaboration and Support: Collaborate with IT/business teams for remediation and audit support.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proficiency in VA/PT Tools: Proficiency in VA/PT tools and scripting languages such as Python and PowerShell.
  • Security Knowledge: Deep understanding of CVE, CVSS, OWASP, network security concepts, and packet analysis.
  • Incident Response and Compliance: Familiarity with incident response, host security, and compliance standards (ISO 27001, PCI-DSS).
  • Analytical and Communication Skills: Strong analytical skills with a collaborative approach in cross-functional environments.
