Job Description

As a Branch Manager in Gujarat, you will be responsible for leading a team of sales professionals to achieve business targets and provide exceptional customer service. Your primary goal will be to meet the branch targets set by the bank, ensuring that all guidelines and regulatory requirements are followed.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet branch targets and ensure adherence to guidelines and regulatory requirements
  • Provide world-class services to customers, understanding and meeting their financial needs through bank products
  • Manage, train, and motivate staff to achieve sales targets
  • Represent HDFC Bank in various capacities as required
  • Ensure proper scoping and target identification with active collaboration from concerned Product/Sales Support Teams
  • Meet liability account targets through the channel (Branch and direct sales)
  • Cross-sell FDs to customers and achieve number and value targets
  • Ensure quality of sourcing and depletion rates are controlled
  • Ensure salary credits reach or exceed expected targets
  • Manage portfolios effectively and ensure set targets are reached
  • Ensure seamless servicing of PBG & BBG raced HNW customers in coordination with respective PBG/BBG RM & Supervisors
  • Make staff aware of targets on portfolios, including Customer To Group Ratio and Income Generating Product Holding
  • Persuade High Networth individuals to avail private banking products and services
  • Generate, review, and commit to customer and business reports
  • Cross-sell De-Mat and HSL products and services
  • Cross-sell asset products as offered by the bank
  • Ensure customers get credit cards and start using them for transactions
  • Ensure cross-sell targets on Third Party Products are met
  • Train staff on product knowledge and requisite certifications
  • Review Daily Sales Report and provide guidance on improvement
  • Penetrate Saving Accounts on non-liability customers and call on marketing analytics lists
  • Manage and monitor sales resource performance
  • Control attrition of customers, including persuading them to continue and renew FDs
  • Monitor large amount movements and account closures
  • Ensure no revenue leakage
  • Ensure the branch reaches its contribution targets
  • Ensure the branch achieves its assets target
  • Periodically meet and review with Sales Managers on branch performance
  • Ensure quality sourcing of accounts by all sales staff
  • Ensure customers get disbursals of amount against loans as per new initiatives
  • Ensure the branch offers highest quality of service to customers and meets expected Service Quality standard
  • Manage high volume and low value customers effectively
  • Ensure the lobby is not crowded and time norms are met for prompt delivery of services
  • Ensure the branch has good upkeep, including lobby management, cleanliness, merchandising, and queue handling
  • Record and resolve complaints as per specified process
  • Monitor and ensure complaints are closed within TAT
  • Improve customer communication on closures
  • Check with customers if the process of complaint has been managed well
  • Ensure no escalations happen
  • Preventive complaint management
  • Ask for feedback from customers and discuss with staff the importance of getting feedback
  • Promote direct banking channels and ensure customers are utilizing them
  • Monitor and ensure PB and PB-WD are selling and aiding customers and actively selling DBC services
  • Ensure Band 1/Band 2 customers are moved to higher bands
Requirements
  • Graduation/Post-Graduation
  • AMFI Certification
  • IRDA Certification
  • NCFM Certification (Optional)
  • Key Skills: Banks Product Knowledge, Planning and Organizing Skills, Team Management/Interpersonal Skills, Sales and Influencing Skills, Communication, Knowledge of Competition, Awareness of Banking regulations, Credit knowledge when required, Good Administrator, Good at net-working, Ability to develop contacts in the local area
  • Experience Required: Minimum experience in years – 4 to 10 years, Exposure to banking preferable
