Job Title:

About the Role:

The Merchandiser is responsible for end-to-end merchandising process in woven garments, acting as key link between buyers, suppliers and production team. This role demands strong coordination, costing knowledge and ability to deliver products meeting buyer specifications, quality standards and timelines.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Design Team for seasonal collection as per customer requirements.
  • Develop samples, negotiate prices and confirm orders with buyers.
  • Manage material orders on time, focusing on improving budgets and costs.
  • Maintain exceptional attention to detail, work independently and adapt to changing environments and challenges.
  • Handle small and high-value businesses effectively.
  • Communicate clearly with customers, vendors and internal teams.
  • Demonstrate technical knowledge of woven garment manufacturing for various categories like shirts, jackets and bottoms.
  • Take ownership of job responsibilities for result-driven achievements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Apparel Merchandising or Fashion Technology.
  • 1-8 years experience as a Merchandiser in woven garment factory (buyer handling experience preferred).
  • Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, costing and production processes.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/MIS systems.
  • Ability to multitask, handle pressure and meet deadlines.
