Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Design Engineer to join our Emerging Memory Group at Micron. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, bringing up, testing, validating, and releasing to manufacturing complex electronic systems and modules based on product marketing requirements and new memory technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement complex electronic systems and modules using best practices for signal and power integrity, mechanical, and thermal design.
- Develop and implement test and validation plans, including thorough design reviews of all major sub-assemblies, to guarantee only one prototype leading to the final system/module revision.
- Support product certification activities, NPI, production, and manufacturing, including product transfer from Engineering to manufacturing and materials procurement.
- Collaborate with external customers, distributors, vendors, or suppliers to initiate new designs and solve problems.
- Oversee the placement, layout, and fabrication of systems and modules.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering with 10+ years of hardware board design experience.
- Expert-level knowledge of DDR Memory Architecture, DIMM Modules, PCIe 4/5, and CXL 1/2.
- Solid knowledge and extensive experience developing systems based on high-speed interfaces like PCIe, DDR, ONFI, UFS, and communication protocols like I2C, I3C, SPI, UART, USB, JTAG.
- Proven forward-thinking person with the ability to inspire change and influence highly technical teams and senior leadership.
- Good understanding of high-speed board design, SI, and PI concepts, as well as knowledge of laboratory equipment like oscilloscopes and logic and protocol analyzers.
- Proficiency in CAD tools like Cadence HDL, Allegro PCB.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
