Job Description:

The role involves providing legal guidance on corporate, commercial and contractual matters to ensure compliance and support business operations with risk-mitigated solutions.

This includes drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, providing legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, employment and regulatory matters.

Additionally, the attorney will support business teams in client negotiations, enable smooth deal closures and ensure compliance with data protection, IT laws and international regulations.

The attorney will also manage legal risks and proactively provide strategic advice to leadership, liaise with external counsel for litigation, arbitration and dispute resolution, and conduct internal training and awareness sessions on compliance and legal best practices.

  • Key Responsibilities
  • Draft, review and negotiate commercial contracts
  • Provide legal advice on corporate governance, compliance, employment and regulatory matters
  • Support business teams in client negotiations and enable smooth deal closures
  • Ensure compliance with data protection, IT laws and international regulations
  • Manage legal risks and proactively provide strategic advice to leadership

  • Conduct internal training and awareness sessions on compliance and legal best practices
Required Skills and Qualifications:

The ideal candidate should have a strong background in corporate law with 5+ years of post-qualification experience preferably in IT services or consulting organizations.

A bachelor's degree in law (LLB/LLM) from a recognized institution is required. The candidate should also possess excellent communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.

Strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation with international clients, familiarity with data privacy, intellectual property, labor and employment laws are highly desirable.

Ambition, resilience and ability to work independently in a fast-paced global environment are essential qualities of this role.

  • Qualifications:
  • LLB/LLM from a recognized institution
  • 5+ years of post-qualification experience in corporate law
  • Strong expertise in contract drafting and negotiation with international clients
  • Familiarity with data privacy, intellectual property, labor and employment laws
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a mid-to-large IT services/consulting company, exposure to multi-jurisdictional contracts and cross-border legal issues are preferred qualifications.
