We are seeking a skilled Space Propulsion Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing a safe, efficient, and affordable green propulsion system.

Key Responsibilities
  • System Architecture and Design: Take ownership of the entire design process and system architecture from conceptualization to implementation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration with spacecraft subsystems.
  • Requirements Management: Define and manage system requirements based on customer needs and industry standards. Utilize NASA system engineering processes to develop clear and concise requirements documentation.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential risks associated with the propulsion system. Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to ensure mission success.
  • Testing and Validation: Plan and execute system-level tests to validate the performance and reliability of propulsion systems. Collaborate with testing teams to analyze results and implement necessary improvements.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive system engineering documentation in accordance with NASA standards. Generate technical reports, specifications, and other documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with project managers to ensure that engineering activities align with project timelines and objectives.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in space system engineering.
  • Well-versed with the systems engineering process followed by NASA.
  • Demonstrated experience in effectively balancing performance, resource use, risk, cost, and schedule.
  • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams and communicate effectively.

  • Experience in applying systems engineering methods.
